Town End

Town End is one of seventeen serviced properties at Town Farm, on the edge of the Chilterns. We are a working arable farm, with some sheep over the surrounding hills, we are lucky to have views over to Ivinghoe Beacon on one side, and Aylesbury Vale on the other. All the cottages each have their own unique charm, and we also run a campsite during the summer months. 

Town End is a ground floor serviced apartment, with a spacious open plan living and kitchen area. It has one bedroom, with a double bed and a shower room. Outside there is space for two cars and bench.

The front door opens on to the living area, with open plan sitting and kitchen areas, doorways to bedroom and shower room.

The kitchen corner is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

In the spacious, open-plan living area there is a dining table which seats four, two small double sofas, and a FreeView enabled T.V.

The bedroom has a queen size (five foot) bed, a wardrobe and a desk and chair. The shower room has a large walk in shower.

Heating & hot water is powered by electricity. Please note that rental includes a GBP20 electricity credit allowance per week, any extra electricity credit is charged as required.  We do not offer refunds for unused credit.


Parking for two cars is available at the front of the property. A communal E.V. charger is available on the farm but electric vehicles must not be connected directly to the property.


The property has access to the farm's communal tennis court, games room and play areas.

I was looking for holiday accommodation in the Beds/Bucks area as we were looking to visit our extended family who live within that area. I chose Town Farm Cottages after seeing their online page, To me it looked just like an ideal accommodation in an ideal location. On arrival we were more than pleasantly surprised to find that both the property (Town End) and the overall site exceeded our expectations. The property was exactly as described as were the facilities in the cottage.
Although we were there for ten days to visit family in the area we did travel to surrounding areas during "family free" time. Pitstone is a village within comfortable walking distance (via fields and lanes) and boasts fine places to eat or drink. Tring is within a short driving distance as is Ivinghoe/Dunstable Downs (National Trust), Aylesbury and Whipsnade Zoo or Woburn Safari Park.
Overall I would say that this is an ideal property that is in a great location plus it has the added benefit of being run by very friendly and helpful staff. Would we stay there again? Already looking to book later this year if there is a suitable vacancy.
